Three Thoughts About Our Year End Event That Will Turn Your World Upside Down by Tony Martinez

Tony Martinez is the Founder and Chairman of the US Tax Lien Association, which is an organization that is committed and dedicated to helping others achieve total financial freedom through the power of investing in Tax Lien Certificates. With over 30 years of expert experience, Tony is the world's #1 authority on the subject of creating enduring wealth through the little know strategy of investing in Tax Lien Certificates, which gives anyone the opportunity to earn guaranteed fixed rates of returns of 18% – 36% interest per year, and acquire valuable real estate for approximately 10% of market value.

Those who attended our Year-Ennd celebration can attest to its great success! The energy in the room was just electric, and, an avalanche of opinion states that it was our best yet. We had powerful speakers take the stage to motivate our students to take hold of their futures and shape it as they see fit. While this sounds bold and flashy, we are always completely transparent when it comes to educating folks on how to achieve their life goals. This is always the focus of our annual celebration.

One of the many takeaways from our year end event is that you must make a series of small, measurable steps each day. Great things are not accomplished through impulse. With each small step, reflect on its success. Ask yourself, “did this bring me closer to my goals? Why or why not? What can I do differently next time?”

Another takeaway is that your goals need to be time bound. As an example, Saen Higgins and I have said time and again that investing in tax liens and tax deeds is not a get rich quick scam. While you are learning how to do your due diligence, give yourself 3-6 months to acquire your first lien and at least 6 months to acquire your first deed. These time frames are estimates, everyone's situation is different. Some work full-time vs. part-time. Some have children or health concerns. Whatever your life situation, be realistic about your time frame to achieve your goals.

In addition to discussing goal achievement, we impressed the importance of taking 100% responsibility for your own life. If you blame others for your misfortunes, you aren’t taking control of your life. In order to take control, you have to see yourself as ‘in control.’ Does that make sense? Playing the blame game is giving others power over you. Believing without a shadow of a doubt that you are responsible for anything and everything that happens to you, is the best gift you can give yourself. So, stop with the excuses and take the wheel.

There really was so much more that we covered throughout the event. I only had time to share a few key principles with you here today. Look for more articles of guidance in the coming months as we are still reeling from all the excitement here at The US Tax Lien Association.

Sincerely,
Tony Martinez
